Imagine a family with no electricity in the house, cooking on a wood stove, washing clothes by hand, creating soap, butter, and household needs by hand, and no air conditioning! These were dedicated, hard working people, who lived off the land.

See how it's all done at the L. W. Paul Living History Farm. Located at 2279 Harris Shortcut Road, Hwy. 701 N, Conway, SC. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday 9:00am till 4:00pm. Any size groups are welcome; church, scout, childcare, youth groups, 4-H, tour bus, family reunions, Red Hat, etc...

Just call the Farm in advance to set up a tour for your group.

2010 Downtown Farmers Market

In 2009 Clemson Extension partnered with the local Chamber of Commerce, Main Street USA and business leaders to host a seasonal farmers market in downtown Conway. Initially located under the historic Main Street Bridge, the reinvigorated Downtown Conway Farmers Market realized tremendous success in its first season.

The mission of the Rivertown Bluegrass Society is preserving and performing live bluegrass music in a very professional setting.

This a non-profit organization that does offer membership. Everyone is invited to all the shows, but many discounts are available to the members.

Shows are held twice each month. Bring your instrument and join on the jamming . Who knows you might like it well enough you might want to become a member yourself.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!

Individual Annual Membership -- $20.00
Family Annual Membership -- $30.00
Monthly admissions only $8.00 for members

Membership includes
Reduced concert admission (Presently two dollars off each month) including festivals.
There are lots of other events associations in the area that offer reduced prices to RBS members.
You will get a free meal once a year at the RBS members meeting and picnic. where you will learn all about the business of RBS.
You will receive a subscription RBS monthly newsletter.
Your name will be added to our phone tree. You will receive a call reminding you of our concerts and any other events RBS is having during the month.

But more importantly, you are showing your support for local bluegrass music, and you are helping to provide a forum for " Bluegrass music to be played."

Water - Kayak/Canoe Rental in Conway, SC

We invite you to paddle the Waccamaw River and Kingston Lake in Downtown Conway, SC. The slow moving black water makes it easy to navigate up or downstream. Photographers and nature watchers will see plenty of wildlife with the quiet approach allowed by paddled crafts.

Fisherman can find bream, crappie, large mouth bass, and some of the biggest catfish in the US. Just stop by one of our bait shops to find out which fish are hot and what they are biting on.
