Posting an Article
Rules for posting material on ConwayJournal.com
#1. Keep it clean. This site is family friendly so think PG rated before submitting your work.
#2. Keep it "good". This site is part of a larger project to improve our community. Personal attacks, negativity, and general meanness is not welcomed. Not all material is going to be happy clappy, but it will be "good". When tough issues such as greed, corruption, and crime are discussed consider a medical analogy. Cancer diagnosis is not fun, but it is "good". Treatment is not fun, but it is "good". The entire process of diagnosis, treatment, and cure is never fun, but it is always "good".
#3. It's all about Conway, SC. If your material doesn't involve a Conway mailing address, it probably won't get posted.
Suggestions for Posting on ConwayJournal.com
- Use pictures and graphics as much as possible. Just add them as attachments to your email and we'll re-size and insert them into your article.
- Links are welcomed. Feel free to add web addresses to your article. Example: If you own a plant nursery and you submit an article or video about flowers that grow well in Conway's sandy soil, feel free to link to your website or add your phone number to promote your business. Just don't send pure promotions and commercials for your business. That's called advertising and we charge for that.
- If you have not noticed yet, we don't get too caught up in the formalities of English composition. ConwayJournal.com is a community forum, by the people and for the people. A relaxed and casual approach is expected. We will proof read and spell check your work and make corrections to obvious errors. Just get the word out!
